Mother's Day Weekend...

We had a laaaazy Saturday. Travis grilled up some chicken for dinner, and Robin & Chris joined us for dessert. Travis made his awesome homemade short cake with fresh strawberries- yum! We hit the hay pretty early Saturday night... It was so great to see Robin & Chris before they left home for Cincinnati. We miss you guys already!

Mother's Day, was the best! My guys woke me up with kisses and a huge homemade breakfast. We joined my family for lunch at the Cotton Patch Cafe in McKinney. Afterwards we went to my parents house for coffee and some family photos.

After lunch we went over to Kathy & Chuck's to celebrate. Aunt Jennifer got Stone a huge thing of bubbles- so thats the reason for ALL the bubbles :-) We had a great time playing out in their backyard- Stone's favorite place to be.

Overall, we had such an amazing weekend with family and friends! We feel so blessed to have our family close and our friends that aren't- are only a plane ride away! We hope everyone had a very Happy Mother's Day!!

Bob's Retirement Bash O-H-IO!

What a fun weekend we have had! Friday evening we celebrated "Buckeye" Bob Elwell's retirement party. The party was a blast complete with stories, jokes, and lots of memories. Robin & Chris (the newly weds) were down from Cincinnati for the party. We had a great night, it is always a good time when Robin & Chris are in town! I have some pictures below of Robin & I with her dad, the retiree (He is mid-sentence saying "Go Bucks"). As well as her sister Ali home from A&M with some of her college buds.

Mother's Day is almost here!

This week has been a busy week for us! I have finals next week and Mother's Day as you know is Sunday. Travis and Stone gave me my Mother's Day gift early on Tuesday. They got me a beautiful purple Hydrangea bush. The flowers look exactly like the ones that Travis and I had on our wedding day, which made them extra special! We have also been doing a little gardening around our apartment. We have planted some herbs, lantana, and geraniums. As well as some Rose Moss that we have coming back up from last Summer. I found some baby safe tear free bubbles for Stone that he has had a ball with in the bathtub! Stone will be 21 months old on Wednesday the thirteenth of May. He weighs over 30 lbs now and has consistently been in the 95th percentile for his height. Needless to say our boy is growing like a weed! On Mother's Day we will be spending the day with Grandma Kathy (known to Stone as Grammer) and Grandma Lesli (Nanna). I will have lots of photos and plenty of stories from Sunday to share soon! Everyone have a blessed and Happy Mother's Day!
